Living on holy grounds 2005

Kayenta, Arizona is a Navaho township.
The community offers a wide range of facilities including a Tribal Chapter House, the Kayenta Field House, nine gas station, four cafes/restaurants, plus a Burger King and Pizza Edge, rodeo grounds and three gymnasiums, two softball and two football fields at the high school and BIA school. There is also a paved landing strip that can be lighted at night under arrangement with the KayentaTownship Office. There are two camping sites.

Besides this the people of Kayenta struggle with crime, alcohol abuse and unemployment.
